I went kisakutei with my family yesterday. Kisakutei is Japanese food restaurant and it serves very nice foods. We ate sashimi, tenpura, sushi, and many other foods.

Had My Hair Cut

I had my hair cut and dye yesterday. I went to flat delight hair in Shimotori. It was my first time to go to the salon. The salon is good! They searved a cake and milk tea when I was waiting. The hairdressers are kind and friendly. So I like the salon. I and the hairdresser who cut my hair enjoyed talking. We talked about boys and girls...☆ The hairdresser is 33 years old, so he gave me some good advices or comments. I like my new hairstyle and the salon.

Minnesota essay(presentation)

I participated in a homestay program in Minnesota last summer. This is my first time to go abrord, so I was excited and nervous. However, I like Minnesota soon. Minnesota has a lot of beautiful nature. There are so many lakes. I was surprised that there is a lake in my school!

State capital of Minnesota is St. Paul and the biggest city is Minneapolis and the population of Minnesota is 5,059,375. (2003) There are White American, about 88%, Black American, 3.5%, Hispanics and Asian American, about 3% and so on. There are many kinds of races.

I'll talk about St. Paul. The population of St. Paul is 287,151. There are many social facilities, for example, Minnesota State Capitol, History center, and Cathedral of Saint Paul is one of the biggest cathedral all over the world. My host family lives St. Paul.

I'll talk about Minneapolis. The population of St. Paul is 382,618. Minneapolis is modern city. We can see many high buildings there.

Mall of America is the biggest shopping mall in America. there are about 400 shops! We can enjoy not only shoppoing, but also aquarium, The Park at MOA, and movie theater. I went there theree times during my stay. It is next to the air port, so many people visit there.

I could spent a good life in Minnesota. I could enjoy my life in Minnesota. Minnesota makes me happy and gave me a lot of power. I want to visit Minnesota again!

I had a course of bookkeeping yesterday. It finished at 9:00 and I went back home by car. On my way to home, My mother called me. She asked me to buy a cleansing oil. So I went to brug store Mori. It was already 9:30 when I arrived there, but there were a kot of costomers there. I bought a cleansing oil and went back home.

I have a lot of favorite places in Kumamoto. For example, Aso, Amakusa, and Yamaga. I like to drive around Aso. There are very clear air and water. If I go to Amakusa, I like to see the sea. Today's book is 'American life'.

Most people around the world know something about American life. We can see American movies on TV, listen to American music, and eat in American restaurants.

Of course, Americans are not all the same. The United States of America is a big coutry. There are many different ways of life. New York City is one of the most exiting and famous city in the world, but life there is not the same as life in a small American town. I saw the many faces of American life in this book.

Do you know how many people move to the U.S. every year? The answer is 750,000! Recently, many different kinds of people lived in the U.S. In 1798, more than 60% came from Britain, Ireland, Germany, and France. About 20% came from Africa, but they were slaves. Between 1880 and 1914, most immigrants cane from south and west of Europe. Today, most immigarants are from Latin America and Asia.

America is a big country. Americans loves their cars. There are 200,000,000 cars on the road. Only 5% of Americans catch buses and trains to work. In most states, American can drive when they are sixteen. Life without cars is difficult. Schools, stores, and work are usually a long way from home. When I visited the United States, I saw a lot of Japanese cars. When I saw them, I felt that Japan and America are close. In Montana, on some roads, you can drive as fast as you can. I want to go and drive there someday!

We can watch American movies in Japan. American movie-makers make about 570 movies each year. Not only American people but also people in many other countries love these movies.
Today, the name Hollywood means movies. Before 1910, Hollywood was only a small town near Los Angeles. Movie-makers moved there from New York because they wanted the Californian sun. Their job was easier with good weather.

There are many differences between American life and Japanese life. But I like both of them. I want to visit to America again.

12 hours work

I was very very busy on last Sunday. I had a part-time job and about 2,000 customer came to UNIQLO in hikarinomori. The sales of last Sunday were the highest in Kyusyu! (over 10 million yen!) I started to work at 7:30 and finished at 21:45. We were all tired but we were also happy♪

I went to the hospital yesterday because I felt sick. The dcotor gave me some medicines. When I came back home, the door was locked and I didn't have the key! So I couldn't enter my house. I was in trouble. It was very cold outside, so I went to parking area at UNIQLO. About 10 minutes after, my mother got back home and called me. Finally I could enter my house.

I went to the nail salon on last Friday. I finished my part-time job and then, I ran to the salon. It was my first time to go to nail salon. I went to the salon for the Coming of Ade Day.

Chinese noodles

I went to RA-MEN TAJIMA with coworkers after the job yesterday. We all have never been there, so we had been excited♪ Picture shows the chinese noodle and Chinese fried rice we ate. It was very good. And we talked about our coworkers a lot. I had a good time with them.

I was busy for part-time job, assignments, and bookkeeping these days. I go to part-time job four or five days a week, work 8 hours on weekends, take bookkeeping class two days a week, and do a lot of assignments when I can make time to do them.
I took bookkeeping class today. It finished at about 21:00 and after that, I did my homework at the library. Then I got back home, I did my homework. I'm tired but BUSY is very good for me today...!

Today's book is "FOOD AND DRINK IN BRITAIN".

I have never been to Britan but I know that tea is very popular in Britain. Coffee has became very popular in Britain recent years, but tea is still national drink.

In 1610, tea was brought from China to Europe. At first, it was very expensive so not many people could buy it, but by 1750 it was widly drunk in Britain. The traditional way of making tea is:

1 Boil some fresh cold water.

2 Put some hot water into the teapot to make it warm.

3 Pour the water away.

4 Put one teaspoon of tea-leaves per person, and one extra teaspoon, into the pot.

5 Pour boiling water onto the tea.

6 Leave for a few minutes.

7 Serve.

TOday's book is "Martin Luther KING".
Do you know him? His words, "I have a dream," is some of the most famous words in the history of the United State of America.
He is from Alabama and grew up in Atlanta. His family was not poor but they were black and in the South black people didn't have the same rights white people.
He experienced "segregation" in his childhood.

hot spring

I went to YU-NO-KURA with my friend. It is getting colder and colder these days, so hot spring made us happy!

YU-NO-KURA is in Yamaga and we drove to there. We have a only simple map, so we lost our way sometimes, but we arrived our destination!

Actually, we wanted to ICHIBOKU-ISSO but we couldn't go in the Japanese-style hotel because TV coverage started there, so we went to YU-NO-KURA where is near ICHIBOKU-ISSO.

Its open-air bath is good. We could feel comfortable and relax.

After that, we went back to Kumamoto city. We went to Kaio-do but there were full. We had no reservation, so we went to Edoichi. We can have smorgasbord there. When we enter the restaurant, we were very excited! We found a loooooooot of sushi, yakiniku, fruits, cakes, pastas, salads, and desserts. It go without saying that we ate too much♪

Then, on our way to my house, he gave me a CD he made. There are many songs he selected. He think I'll like the songs. When I got back home, I listened the CD. Of course I like it...♪ At about 22:00, I went back home. I had a good time.

I and Akiko, one of my friend, are planing to hold a drinking party next week. We were classmates when we were high school students, so we became organizers! We called our friends of same high school and most of people will be able to come to the party☆
We want to decide a bar, so we met at youome-town and planed about it. After that, we talked about how we've getting along. She seemed to be happy because she is in good with her boyfriend. So I felt happy, too♪ But I also envy her...^_^;
Before we go back home, I wanted to buy a mascara, so we went to habita and I got a new one. According to its directions, if you use the mascara, you will be able to be Jessica Alba!*^^*

Today's book is "GANDHI".
Mohandes Karamchand Gandhi was born in 1869 in Porbandar, in the west of India. He is Hindus.
His first job took him to South Africa, but it is difficult for Indians to live there because they are not white and Christian. One day, a police man threw Gandhi off a train because of his color. This changed him. He started to fight for the rights of Indians.
And then, he went back to India. He started to fight for independence from Britain. He wanted to change India's rulers but he also wanted to change Indians. He showed them a simple, holy way of life.
He died in 1948 but everyone know his name. People in many countries follow his idea today.

I talked with my friend at UNIQLO after we wolked yesterday.
One of my friend lost her key, so we all tried to find it! But we couldn't find it.
A new person came to wolk yesterday and it was his first time. He is same age as me, and there were four people who is 20 years old, so the conversation came to life♪
When I came to my wolk place first time, I felt lonly and I was worried about wether I can get along with other staffs or not, so we want to support him.

I went to Hakata-ichibandori with my friend on Friday. We ate, drunk and talked. We talked about our job in the future or about own school.

MUSIC

I like music and especilly listen to R&B and Japanese pops.
My favorite musician is Ne-Yo. I like all his songs, for example, "stay", "because of you", "sign me up", or "sexy love". I often listen to his music when I drive a car. I like Nathan these days. I bought his CD, "master piece", last month. He is only 19 years old but he sing well and sweetly.

My favorite musicians of J-pop are aiko, ELT, ayaka, kobukuro, ketsumeishi and so on. When I go to karaoke, I often sing these songs.

There are a lot of natures in Kumamoto. The water and the air are very clean. I have many favorite places in Kumamoto, for example, Kumamoto castle, Suizenji Park, and Mt. Aso. I often go to Aso with my friends. I went to the Aso shrine last week. Aso makes us relax and excited. Kumamoto castle was build by Kiyomasa Kato about 400 years ago. When I was a junior high school student, I went there and draw it. In spring, we can see many beautiful cherry blossoms. I also like downtown. There are many good places to shopping. Nathan in only 19 years old, but his voice, melody and music are very tempting.

His music is similer to Ne-Yo, Michel Jackson or Baby face. His voice and rhythm are very sweet.

His albam, masterpiece, was released on August 15. I bought this CD last month.

Main character of this story in Nicky. This story is about his first visit in New York. He is going to stay with his Aunt Carrie. But before he sees her, he meets some older boys with motorbikes. Then, the police think Nicky is a thief. They are looking for him. Nicky has to find Aunt Carrie before the police find him....

It was raining today, so I went back home by train. I went to you me town on my way to home. I looked around some shop and went to book store.

I don't like rainy day because it makes me darken.

I went to SEVEN-ELEVEN, one of the nearest convenience store, to buy my dinner.
My father was not in home and my mother was sick. I finished my part-time job at about 6:30, so I had no time to cook.

school festival

I went to the school festival in Kumamoto Gakuen University with my friend, Haruka.
We met at about 12 and looked around. We met many friends today. Dai gave us ice cream and Haruka bought potatos, so we sat a bench and ate them and talked little. Then we met Sawa, Mayumi, Hikaru etc, and we ate some other foods. I think I ate too much(-_-;)
I had a very good time but it was very cold today!

PRISON BREAK

Recently, I have read PRISON BREAK. I borrowed 4 books of PRISON BREAK from my friend on Tuesday. Origine of PRISON BREAK is American drama. This story is bout prison breaking and we can see betrayal, enemy, and freedom. Main character wants to help his brother who is in prison, so he commits crime deliberrately and he is taken to the prison where his brother is commited. He is an architect and has a tattooed on his body. This tattoo shows the draft of the prison.

hospital

I've been in sick for few weeks. I went to the hospital yesterday. It was my first time to visit that hospital. I took my blood pressure and checked with the doctor. The doctor is a woman and she is very kind. She prescribed many pills for me. My temperture was 38.5℃ yesterday, so I decide to postpone today's plan of shopping in Fukuoka. I'm so sorry, Haruka. But I'll go to the school festival tomorrow!

Aso shrine

I went to Aso with Yukari and Haruka yesterday. We all have wanted to go to Aso shrine for few weeks because Aso shrine is famous for chances of love or marriage! We paid homage at the shrine and drew a fortune slip of love. I got a very good luck. (I want to believe this result....!)

Then, we walked around pine of love chance. There were some people who seemed to have same wish as we have. After that, we went to Juyful to have lunch. We found many Joyfuls on our way to Aso. We had lunch and talked there, but I was sick and I felt sick and fever more and more, so Yukari drove me to my home. Yukari and Haruka...I'm sorry... (>_<;)

Part-time Job

I went to part-time job today. I went UNIQLO at about 7:30 a.m. today. The store opens at 10:00 a.m. but we have to prepare many clothes and clean before the store open.
We had a lot of resonable clothes or goods on this weekend, so there are many many many costomers!! Parking area was always full!!
I was tired but I like to work at busy time^_^v

I read 'OXFORD'.

Oxford is one of the most famous city in the world and it is also one of the most oldest university in England.

Oxford is 90 kilometres from London, it takes about one hour by car, train, or bus. More than 110,000 people live in Oxford.

The city is an important center for work, shopping, and nightlife. But people from all over the world, and from different parts of Britain, come to Oxford to see some beatiful buildings, the musiums, and the parks and the gardens. Oxford is a very interesting city. Many visiters live Oxford.

October 6

I went to PARCO with my friends. There are many new shops in PARCO. First, we looked key case and my friends bought them. Second, we looked some clothes. All of us wanted to buy one-piece dress. My friend bought it and another clothes, and I bought one-piece dress.

We went to DAIMONJI to eat okonomiyaki. We can make okonomiyaki by ourselves there, so it was fun and good.

From 17:30, I went to part-time job. It was not busy today, so we could finish our job earlyer. After the job, I and another friends talked a lot.

I had a very good time today.

PARFAIT

I went to clair with Yukari and Syoichiro. We went to UNIQLO and some other shops. And then, we went to cats cafe to eat parfait. I ate chocolate cake parfait. It was very good!

Next, we looked some shops again, and went to TSUTAYA. I and Yukari bought CDs.

We had a good time. At about 6:00p.m., Syoichiro went back home because he had to go to dance party, so Yukari and I went to YORU CAFE. I ate pasta for dinner. It was very nice. We talked about our life or something and we had a good time!

I have wii, which is very popular TV game. My friend gave me it about 10 months ago.
I played Super Paper Mario with my family last week. I had a good time. We can play another games such as tennis, baseball, or golf. If you want to do this, please come to my home!

California is called 'The Golden State'. California became state in 1850, two years after winning it from Mexico in the Mexican-American War. People came to California to find gold many years ago.

There are many good place to see and very big cities such as San Diego, Los Angels, Hollywood, and San Francisco in California. Disneyland is in Los Angels, and we can see a lot of surfers there. There is a Chinatown in San francisco. By 1850 there were about 4,000 Chinese people living in San francisco. many more came to work in the gold mines, and to build a railway. Today, people come from Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, as well as China. There are also many National Parks, such as Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park.

I want to visit California someday!

I went to youme-town today. It is a big shopping mall. It takes only five minutes from my house to the shopping mall by walk. First, I went to the book store and looked around. Next, I went to clothing store because there were no book which I wanted. I found a nice boots at a store and they were not expencive, so I bought them. I want to put on them when it is more colder.

MUSIC

I listened to music, it was 'suga raga'. I often listen kind of ragge music when I read magazines or clean my room. I like these kinds of music because it makes me relax.

summer vacation

I went to America in order to participate in a home stay program in Minnesota. This was my first time to go to foreign country, so I was very nervous at first, but when I met my host family, I was very happy.
My host father is Bob. He is very kind and makes his wife or me fun. My host mother is Rie. She is Japanese but she didn't speak Japanese for me. She is also kind and funny, too. I think they were very busy, especially Bob has three jobs, but they spent a lot of time with me. I was enjoyed playing some American games, having meals, or go out many places. I really appreciate them.
The most impressive day is my birthday, August 15. I ate out with Bob, Rie, and Bob's parents. We went a restaurant and had a good time. I told a waiter, 'Today is my birthday!' Then he said 'Congratulations! We'll bring a big chocolate cake for you.' I was surprised. What a great waiter! He brought the cake and took another waiter. Another waiter sang Happy Birthday for me. I was very happy. When we got back home, I was surprised again. Bob, Rie, and Bob's parents prepared a birthday cake and ice cream for me secretly. We took some pictures with the cake and we had a good time. This is the most memorable day for me.

I watched "how to lose a guy in 10 days".

Leading actor and actress are Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.

Benjamin Barry(Matthew McConaughey) is an advertising executive competing with two female co-workers for a major campaign for a diamond merchant. He cuts a deal with his competitors that the account is his if he can make a woman of their choice fall in love with him in 10 days. In comes Andie Anderson(Kate hudson) who, in turn, is writing a story on how to lose a guy in 10 days as a bet with her boss to be allowed to write more substantial stories. With a hidden agenda in each camp, will either party be able to complete their mission?

It is so funny that Ben bears Andie do many terrible things.

I recommend this movie!

spring semester

I learned how to use blog or how to make posts. At frirst, It was difficult for me to do that, but I can do that now!
I enjoyed posting with some photos or links. I think there are many posts with photos on my blog.
I also enjoyed seeing my friends' blogs and writing some comments on them. I can know what they did the day. My friends' blogs are very nice, so I get some advises from them.

I’m a student of Kumamoto Gakuen University. There are about 8000 people in KGU. KGU has many conveniences, for example, library, bakery, and convenience store. When I have some assignments, I go to the library and do them. In library, we can read many kinds of books, watching some movies and listen to many kinds of music. When I have to buy something for lunch, I often go to convenience store or bakery. There are many kinds of food and drink. I like to go to cafeteria, too. (88 words)

shopping

I went shopping with my mother and sister today. I wanted to buy one-piece dress and swimwear and my sister wanted to buy some T-shirts. We went downtown by car. (I drove!)
There were many people in downtown. We have three holidays in a row from yesterday but a typhoon hit the Kyushu area yesterday, so I think people who couldn't went shopping yesterday came today.
First, we went to epoqe to see some T-shirts. My sister found two nice shirts and bought them. Many shops were having a sale, so she could get them on the cheap.
Second, we went to PARCO to see some one-piece dress and swimwear. PARCO was also having a sale. We saw some shops and I found a cute swimwear. I bought it. (My mother gave me some gift cards! Thank you!) Then, I found a cute and nice one-piece and bought it.
Finally, we went mister doughnut to take a rest and ate some doughnuts. We talked about today's dinner and went back home. I was little tired but I had a good time!

Rainy Days

It was heavy rain these days and today too. I went to school by train westerday and by car today. In my speaking class, I had a test, but I couldn't answered well. I went back home and went to work part-time job. There is a new staff. She was 23 years old but very friendly and kind.

July 10th

I went to tsuruya and PARCO with my boyfriend by car. Every 10th of month is our anniversary, so we dated.

I wanted to buy sunglasses, cleansing cream, and lotion. I bought them, and then we went back my car and we talked about dinner...

"What do you want to eat?" I asked. He ansewed "Hmm... Why don't we go to sairo? I have discount ticket." I agreed with him. I suggested "Let's go to sairo in Sakuragi. My friend works there." In this way, we went to sairo in Sakuragi. Sairo is korean barbecued beef restaurant. It sereves very nice dishes. We enjoy them. Picture showes sherbet of yuzu.

It was heavy rain yesterday, so I was in the blues and took my frustration out on him, but I despised myself.(u_u;)

I’m a student of Kumamoto Gakuen University. There are about 7000 students there, I think they are enjoying spending their school life. There are many conveniences in KGU, for example, library, bakery, or convenience store. I often go to library when I have some assignments to do or want to watch some movies. I read the book "NEW YORK". New York is called "Big Apple".

New York is dengerous city, so we shouldn't carry a lot of money with us, travel on the subway alone at night or we should stay with the crowds late at night, go into the nearest hotel or shop if you suddenly feel afraid.

If you are shopping for something different, go to SoHo or Greenwich Village. There are 17,000 or more restaurants, cafes, fast food shops and food stand in New York.

I want to go to New York and visit the place that world trade center was.
